Working with Data Acquisition assets
data acquisition assets in ryze refer to data capture assets such as visit schedules, visits and forms when working with data acquisition assets, you can enable plugins to integrate with electronic data capture (edc) systems and view visualizations for these tools see also, docid 6usratl xv9izvtc8ien9 form design in ryze allows you to follow a series of logical steps when editing a form asset, you can quickly create a new section similarly, when you’re editing a section, you can quickly create or associate questions from the editor form assets may be referenced in docid\ mibumdu2wd88nntsozhxt the following example steps show how you can start building a new form in ryze from a data acquisition asset group /#creating a form /#adding a section /#adding a question /#adding terminology creating a form most often, it is easier to import forms, sections, questions and other referenced content you can create content manually or do a combination of creating and importing content (depending on configured docid\ dbt8tgyjtza6pjsxp2c q ) to create a new form asset, click create form and complete the required properties fields enter details for the following label label is a brief description of the form for example, ‘adverse events’ this is a mandatory field when creating a form name name is the standardized name for the form for example, ‘ae’ identifier identifier is the object identifier (oid) and should be unique for every form click save see also, docid\ mibumdu2wd88nntsozhxt adding a section from the form editor, you can click create section or associate sections to associate a section, you must have docid 4n z 7g o7t prrzaml5k available enter properties details similar to the previous step and click save see also, docid\ mibumdu2wd88nntsozhxt adding a question once you have a section you can click create question or associate questions when creating a new question, enter details for the following label label is a brief description of the question for example, ‘adverse event start date’ this is a mandatory field when creating a question name name is the cdash name for the question for example, ‘aestdat’ identifier identifier is the object identifier (oid) and should be unique for every question question contains the question text that is presented to the user click save see also, docid\ mibumdu2wd88nntsozhxt adding terminology some questions may require terminology (code list) you can add terminology once you have saved the question click the options icon next to the question this displays options for managing terminology you can create a new terminology or associate an imported terminology see also, docid\ mibumdu2wd88nntsozhxt types of data acquisition asset data acquisition assets include the following visit schedules visits forms sections questions units conditions terminologies terms methods comments files links for more details on each type of asset, see docid\ mibumdu2wd88nntsozhxt crf annotations the crf plugin generates customizable crfs in pdf format the plugin lets you output visualizations including an annotated crf for more information on using the crf plugin, see the docid\ xd stmqgbj qy6mocyh5r crf docid\ khdhwbnpq8kmihpyizbxl are used to customize your crf, including annotations customizing annotations to display annotations on crf visualizations, edit the plugin properties at asset group level set annotations to note dataset properties format form and section assets variable properties format question and terminology assets you can apply custom formatting to each annotation group aliases the alias property is used to add annotations to assets, such as forms, questions, and terminologies aliases can be displayed on crf and other plugin visualizations as they are core properties and are not specifically associated with one specific plugin aliases consist of a name and context property name the name property can be any string of text context the position of the alias context can be set using one of the following methods alias type choose which alias type to display (text string e g "sdtm") alias types can be set using ‘annotation alias type’ in asset group properties delimiter use “ ” see the /#crf multiple annotations tutorial for examples target position (question assets only) choose whether the annotation appears next to the question or value text (default value) question places the annotation next to the question text value (default) places the annotation next to the value text see the /#crf multiple annotations tutorial for examples of using the alias context styling annotations annotation styles can be set globally from asset group > edit properties > edit crf properties or individually at property level positioning annotations annotation positions are set automatically but can be adjusted using horizontal and vertical offsets at the asset group or individual asset level crf multiple annotations tutorial in this example, we'll add two annotation groups for a section, and then two annotations to a question we can set annotation properties at asset group level (crf properties) or on individual assets asset annotations to define annotations in ryze, you can use the alias property on forms, sections, questions, or terminologies directly the alias includes a name and context field name is the annotation text and context groups the annotations asset group annotations to annotate multiple domains on the same form, you define multiple alias contexts at the asset group level, then declare them at the alias level example in this example, we start with a simple form > section you can create the form by importing assets or recreate it manually to annotate the section for both demographics and disposition add two annotation groups at asset group level ( asset group > edit properties > edit crf properties ) for example, sdtm and sdtm 1 2\ add two aliases to the form > section 3\ the crf preview visualization generates the following question annotations next, we'll apply annotations to a question on the form you can apply the same style to multiple alias contexts at the question by adding 1, 2, to the \[context] for example, if the first alias is sdtm 1, the second would be sdtm 1 1 add two aliases to the subjid question this allows you to add multiple annotations to a question with similar styling add \ value or \ question after the alias context to place the annotation over the value or question for example, sdtm\ question or sdtm\ value see also, /#styling annotations
