Assets
overview assets are used to store your metadata content in ryze, for example, assets in a standard may include datasets, variables, terminologies and terms you can create assets, edit asset properties, clone assets, view relationships between assets, and so on asset groups we recommend that assets are organized into asset groups a standard or study can contain multiple asset groups, each of which defines a distinct group of content asset groups can contain metadata relating to the following data acquisition contains assets relating to data capture for example, forms and visits can be added to data acquisition asset groups sdtm datasets contains assets relating to the study data tabulation model send datasets contains assets relating to the standard for exchange of nonclinical data adam datasets contains assets relating to the analysis data model proprietary datasets contains assets relating to your organizational standards generic assets generic assets can contain all types of assets the type of asset group you create determines the type of assets you can create within it for example, a sdtm dataset asset group won’t contain forms the type of asset group also determines the types of plugins that are available to use creating an asset group to create a generic or data acquisition asset group from the standard or study, click create asset group select data acquisition from the drop down menu a label and identifier are added automatically \[optional] add a name for your asset group select any plugins you want to enable for this asset group, see docid 6usratl xv9izvtc8ien9 click one of the following create this creates the asset group you can choose to copy content later create and copy assets this opens the copy assets option, if you have another standard or study already associated (see docid\ y3vlpzi tlsfewtsshk3q ) then you can copy content into the new asset group to create a datasets asset group from the standard or study, click create asset group select one of the following from the drop down menu sdtm datasets send datasets adam datasets proprietary datasets a label and identifier are added automatically \[optional] add a name for your asset group specify the following standard name supports define 2 0 exports example value “sdtm ig” standard version supports define 2 0 exports example value “3 2” comment allows you to associate a comment asset supplemental documents allows you to associate a file asset intended for submission select if the datasets are intended for submission select any plugins you want to enable for this asset group, see docid 6usratl xv9izvtc8ien9 create and copy assets this opens the copy from assets option, if you have another standard or study already associated (see docid\ y3vlpzi tlsfewtsshk3q ) then you can copy content into the new asset group click one of the following create this creates the asset group you can choose to copy content later working with assets when you open a standard or study, you can view all assets and asset groups contained within that standard or study you can click an asset to view its properties, referenced assets (if applicable) and comments searching assets you can search for assets in your metadata repository by using the search and search filters from repository > assets there are three types of filter available, asset filters , standard/study filters and general filters these filters allow you to search content by the type of asset or whether the content is part of a standard or study, or by general information such as version number, labels or therapeutic area results are displayed on the right hand side of the screen clicking on a result opens the selected asset configure asset view properties you can choose how assets are displayed in ryze from docid\ fc7t ycpgfodz v5hvqs8 settings you can configure what properties are displayed and the order they are displayed for the asset label, name, identifier and type properties term assets can be configured to display their term code property you can set a default template for all assets or configure each type of asset individually creating assets assets can be created by clicking the plus icon it is recommended that assets are created in an asset group clicking the plus icon creates a new asset and opens the edit properties tab for the new asset the user must complete any mandatory fields to save the new asset, click validate copy from assets can be reused in ryze by copying from another standard or study you can copy assets by clicking the copy from button a library (standard or study) must be associated before copying assets into a standard or study you can only copy assets if the source standard/study is in a non editable state, for example, "production" deleting an asset you can delete an asset by selecting it and clicking the trash icon a warning dialogue is displayed to the user the warning dialogue lists any affected asset groups you can choose to delete orphaned child assets, this removes any child assets that are not referenced in another asset relink assets you can relink assets to a different source relink assets may be used to update assets to a newer version of a standard link assets to a different standard link unlinked assets to a standard relinking assets lets you add content from the new linked standard for example, you can add variables to a dataset using the select subset from standard option and select content from the new linked standard relinking assets also lets you see compliance issues based on the new linked standard to relink assets, a library must be associated beforehand when you relink assets, assets are compared with the currently linked version you can view a comparison between the assets and the currently linked assets you can then compare the assets to the assets you want to relink it to associate the standard you want to relink to using the associate library button click the relink assets icon select the assets to relink from the dropdown menu, select the library to link to a library must be associated beforehand click next a list of assets is displayed with details on any changes \[optional] click the compare icon to view a comparison of assets before relinking click relink assets example scenarios study a is built from sdtm 3 2 v1 and nci ct v4 standards scenario study a datasets are relinked to sdtm 3 3 v1 outcome datasets (and their assets that are based on the same standard) are updated to link to assets in sdtm 3 3 v1 scenario study a terminologies are relinked to nci ct v5 outcome terminologies (and their assets that are based on the same standard) are updated to link to assets in nci ct v5 reorder assets the re order assets button can be used to set the display order for form and visit assets in an asset group the display order affects both the order in ryze and the order as they appear in visualizations relationships the relationships between assets can be viewed from the relationships tab the relationships tab is displayed on the right hand side when editing an asset the relationships tab displays the following information about the selected asset asset groups lists the asset group that the selected asset belongs to, if applicable you can change or add an asset group using the add to asset group button changing the asset group that an asset belongs to can affect child assets when removing an asset group, all child assets that are not referenced by the remaining assets are also removed parent assets displays a hierarchical list of assets that reference the selected asset for example, when viewing a term, a terminology that references that term is considered a parent asset child assets displays a hierarchical list of assets that are referenced by the selected asset child assets are displayed under the selected asset, for example when viewing a form, child assets may include sections, questions, terminologies, and terms derived from derived from displays any linked source assets, for example, if the current asset is a clone or if the current asset is copied from another standard or study you can compare the current asset to the source asset or view the source asset derived assets derived assets include any assets that are cloned from the selected asset cloning assets cloning assets allows you to create a duplicate of an existing asset cloning functionality only applies to the selected asset and not to child assets referenced assets (such as terminologies, questions, terms, methods, conditions and units) are not cloned for example if a form is cloned, then the questions on the form are child assets and are not cloned the child assets referenced by the cloned asset are the same child assets that are referenced by the original asset editing a question on the cloned form affects the questions on the original parent form a cloned asset may be created as one of the following independent the cloned asset has no links to the source asset variant the cloned asset derives from the same asset that the source asset derives from this can be used to create different variations or subsets derived from the same asset for example, creating multiple terminology subsets that derive from the same nci terminology derived the cloned asset derives from the source asset
