Roles and Default Roles
see also docid\ xfgpwb1c652lbukrc2133 access to standards and studies is managed by granting roles to user groups in repository admin / roles you can define roles and give them specific permissions, for example a data manager role may be able to edit data acquisition metadata, but only view dataset metadata within a specific standard or study the list of available permissions that can be set for roles are access dataset data provides the user with access to the data transformation functions including uploading/downloading data, running edc integrations and conversions access to "draft" metadata content provides the user with access to standard/study content where the current status of the standard/study is “draft” note a user must also be granted the ‘edit data acquisition metadata’ or ‘edit dataset metadata’ permission to edit any metadata content access to "in progress" metadata content provides the user with access to standard/study content where the current status of the standard/study is “in progress” note a user must also be granted the ‘edit data acquisition metadata’ or ‘edit dataset metadata’ permission to edit any metadata content access to "in review" metadata content provides the user with access to standard/study content where the current status of the standard/study is “in review” access to "not in use" metadata content provides the user with access to standard/study content where the current status of the standard/study is “not in use” access to "rejected" metadata content provides the user with access to standard/study content where the current status of the standard/study is “rejected” associate libraries provides the user with access to the ‘associate libraries’ modal and assign libraries to a standard/study edit data acquisition metadata standard/study lifecycle allows the user to transition the standard/study through the various stages in the lifecycle note this can be further restricted when setting up the lifecycle this means that only users in a specific user group could transition to a given stage share standard/study allows the user to grant user permissions (i e user roles) for the standard/study permissions are set at the
