Administrator Guide
Getting Started
this guide is aimed at administrator users who are setting up ryze for the first time in this guide we’ll look at how to create and manage users in ryze and how to manage repository settings signing in companies ryze users can be given access to multiple companies users must be invited to collaborate with a company if you have access to more than one company, you can choose which company you want to access when you log in sso sso can be enabled for your organisation to provide further security if you need help setting up sso, please contact support managing users administrators specifiy the level of access for users by allocating them to one or more user groups additional user groups can be created but there are two default user groups all users admin users all users are automatically added to the "all users" group there are three levels of user access in ryze, these are system level repository level standard/study level system firstly, we configure system permissions these are managed in admin > system > user groups individual users are then added to user groups in admin > system > users user groups allow the user access to different parts of the application for example, an admin user would need to be in a user group that has the company admin permission repository roles repository level permissions are added to roles these define what a user can do in the repository at a more specific level for example, you can create a role that only allows a user to access approved standards similarly, you can create a role that allows a user to create draft standards and manage the editing of standards metadata default role admin users can select a default role that applies to all standards and studies this means that anyone accessing the repository is given the permissions defined in the default role for example, you can create a default role that allows every user to see “draft” content, and if they have the change request permission, they can then request a change in draft content standard/study you can choose which user group can access a standard/study, and the roles that those users have in your standard/study standard/study level access is configured in a standard/study and defines who can access and make changes inside that standard/study with standard/study level access you can be more specific about who can make changes create a user group the first thing we need to do is to add a new user group user groups are used to manage what a user can do in ryze in this example, we’ll set up the user group, “ repository user” for creating and editing standards and studies in the mdr select admin > system > user groups tab click add user group to create a new user group name your user group repository user under system permissions , select the repository admin and standard / study creator permissions click save once we have created the new user group, any new users we add can be selected for this user group ryze includes the user group all users by default this user group is automatically assigned to any new user we create administrators can remove permissions associated with the all users user group as required you can create a user group for other types of users, for example, users that are required to manage the repository or on demand services see docid\ ndhlu4bxfvts6e cuapqr for more information add users to ryze new users can be added by using an email invitation through certara admin for this example, you’ll need the email address of someone you would like to invite to collaborate on ryze we’ll add a new user and add them to the user group repository user that we created previously to add users to ryze log in to certara admin go to users > people click add user and fill in the email address fields for the person you want to invite to collaborate in ryze and send the invitation once the invitation is sent, click give access to immediately give the user product access to ryze, then assign the "user" role log in to ryze and go to admin > system > user groups select the repository user group for the new user it may take a few moments for the new user to appear the user receives an email invitation to access your company in ryze this user will automatically be assigned to the all users and repository user groups once they have completed sign up see docid\ qswe40pxandkkw5qpnbv5 for more information add a user to a subscription we’ll add our new user to the author subscription this allows the user to create and edit standards and studies go to admin > system > subscriptions tab select author from the drop down menu (it may be selected already) click add user to subscription and select the user we added previously the user will now be able to create and edit standards and studies in ryze subscriptions are used to allow users access to your mdr depending on your company, you may wish to allocate subscriptions to certain users there are three subscription types available by default author reader reviewer for more information, see docid\ krpnoet 5pu acspjdgz6 repository settings previously, we set up a user with repository access in ryze in this section, we’ll now take a look at how we manage our repository settings enable plugins plugins allow you to use ryze with external systems we recommend that data designer core and data acquisition designer core are enabled, in this example we’ll enable these plugins to enable the medidata rave plugin, go to admin > repository > plugins tab if they are not already enabled, enable the dataset designer core and data acquisition designer core plugins other plugins are available to use in your repository for example, if we enable the medidata rave plugin, we can then use the rave plugin when working with data acquisition asset groups this means we can view visualizations, add custom attributes, view builds, and use rules and validators when working within the asset group for more information, see docid 6usratl xv9izvtc8ien9 copy from published standards ryze provides published cdash, send, adam and sdtm standards by default you can import these published standards for use in your mdr to import published standards go to admin > repository > published tab click the plus icon to import any standards that are required importing large standards may take a few minutes imported standards are displayed in the repository, you can create a working copy of a published standard once a published standard is added, it cannot be removed recommended topics roles roles allow you to further define and manage user permissions see docid jcjr gqe4dhnipk2vgb8 for more information lifecycle ryze provides default values for the lifecycle of a standard/study you can use the states provided or create your own lifecycle for more information, see docid 7xsbhlbictwknx4bfp6n2 documentation change requests ryze provides default values for change requests change request templates must be enabled before use you can edit or clone an existing default change request template administrators can create new templates or edit the existing templates provided for more information, see docid 6buuiuqqdi6iara77qxes documentation reference lists ryze provides reference lists for therapeutic areas, clinical stages, and asset link protocols by default the following must be populated manually sponser program these items can be used to filter assets in your repository see docid 3vxktbrdhnsf8v9ogphcc for more information
