Section Properties
section level properties are similar to form properties but they apply to one specific section of a form and its child assets you can add notes and alter settings such as table and code list layouts as well as placement settings for annotations font family specifies the default font family for an individual section if left blank, this property defaults to 'sans serif' unless otherwise specified in the ‘default font family’ property or the font family property at form level this property can be also overridden for individual questions within the section using the font family property at question level font size specifies the default font size for an individual section measurement units are point (‘pt’), pixels (‘px’) or ‘em’ for example, ‘20px’ if left blank, this property defaults to '11pt' unless otherwise specified in the ‘default font size’ property or the font size property at form level this property can be also overridden for individual questions using the font size property at question level question width percentage specifies the percentage width of the question text column for a section if left blank, this property defaults to ‘30’ note this property is only applied if the layout property at section level is set to 'tabular (vertical)' title lets you edit the title of the form if left blank, this property defaults to the section ‘name’ field show title lets you show or hide the section title ‘true’ displays the section title ‘false’ hides the section title note if this property is set to ‘false’, the section number will also be hidden unless the layout property at section level is set to 'tabular (horizontal)' and the section is a repeating section if left blank, this property defaults to ‘true’ notes top lets you enter text that appears as notes at the top of the section (below the section title row) notes bottom lets you enter text that appears as notes at the bottom of the section table visible lets you show or hide table borders for an individual section ‘true’ shows the borders of table rows and columns the section title and the top and bottom rows of notes are formatted in grey 'false', hides the borders of the table rows the section title and the top and bottom rows of notes are transparent if left blank, this property defaults to ‘true’, unless otherwise specified in the ‘default table visible’ property layout specifies the layout of the section 'tabular (vertical)' displays each question on a separate table row 'tabular (horizontal)' displays each question on a separate table column 'non tabular (vertical)' displays each question on a separate line 'non tabular horizontal' displayed questions next to each other note code list repeats are not supported when if the layout is set to 'non tabular (vertical)' or 'non tabular (horizontal)' if left blank, this property defaults to 'tabular (vertical)' for non repeating sections and to 'tabular (horizontal)' for repeating sections code list footer rows specifies the number of footnote lines a code list footnote can occupy the minimum permissible value is '1' if left blank, this property defaults to '5' title alignment specifies the section title alignment ‘left’ ‘center’ ‘right’ if left blank, this property defaults to unless otherwise specified in the ‘default title alignment’ property at asset group level or the ‘title alignment’ property at form level annotation width specifies the width of the section annotations measurement units are inches (‘in’) or centimeters (‘cm’) for example, ‘1cm’ if left blank, this property defaults to the value specified in the ‘defaultwidth’ property at asset group level annotation height specifies the height of the section annotations measurement units are inches (‘in’) or centimeters (‘cm’) for example, ‘1cm’ if left blank, this property defaults to the value specified in the ‘default height ‘property at asset group level annotation horizontal offset specifies the horizontal offset of the section annotations measurement units are inches (‘in’) or centimeters (‘cm’) for example, ‘1cm’ if left blank, this property defaults to the value specified in the ‘default horizontal offset ‘property at asset group level annotation vertical offset specifies the vertical offset of the section annotations measurement units are inches (‘in’) or centimeters (‘cm’) for example, ‘1cm’ if left blank, this property defaults to the value specified in the ‘default vertical offset ‘property at asset group level
