Managing Proprietary Datasets
proprietary datasets are used to develop datasets that are specific to your organization as they allow you to create metadata for any purpose this can include data that is collected for internal reporting or analysis before being organized into submission ready datasets in practice, proprietary datasets have fewer limitations compared to cdisc aligned datasets and they can be used for any purpose since they are not cdisc aligned datasets, proprietary datasets do not display compliance status in ryze creating a proprietary dataset proprietary datasets allow you to create larger datasets that include additional metadata than is required for submission proprietary datasets may therefore be used for things such as, a lab transfer specification for central lab data or a data transfer specification proprietary datasets can also be used to help integrate with third party systems such as edcs that carry additional metadata you can choose to create datasets from scratch, import content from other published standards, or upload a define xml file that contains content for your proprietary dataset to create a proprietary dataset, click create asset group from any standard or study select proprietary dataset from the type dropdown menu click create and import assets or create proprietary datasets and dataset conversions proprietary datasets can be used as an extra step in the processing of data for example, if you need to create non sdtm datasets to provide extra steps in a conversion process where a and b are conversion tasks this can be useful if you run varied studies concurrently and want to centralize management of your organization’s standards into one proprietary dataset that is then repurposed for submission
